Step 1

Boil a cup of water. You can use tap water since boiling will eventually kill any germs in it. If you don’t have a stove, then microwave or an electric kettle could work too. Try not to over boil the water as it might bring out the bitter flavor of the coffee beans.

Step 2

To an empty mug add one or two teaspoons of instant coffee. Depending on how strong you want your coffee. If you are not sure of the flavor, then go on and read the instructions on the wrapper of your coffee. Make sure you read them carefully since most of the instant coffees come in the form of 3-in-one sachet’s that only require hot water to be added in it. These have sugar and milk added in them so don’t go on adding more.

Step 3

In the mug, you previously added the coffee powder, add a tablespoon of cold water and gently stir so that it becomes easier to dissolve. Furthermore, doing so brings out the nice flavors of the coffee and keeps the bitterness at bay.

Step 4

Transfer the water that you boiled in the kettle, stove or microwave and transfer it to the mug. Be careful while handling it. Also, make sure that you leave some space for milk and creamer if you will be adding that later.

Step 5

Mix in the desired flavors into your coffee. If you like it sweet, add some sugar. if you want to spice it up then opt for cinnamon or pumpkin spice flavored creamer.
